Re: Josef and Iva Fisher

I have been appointed to act as counsel for Josef and Iva Fisher to assist them in their efforts to resolve outstanding complaints that they have with, among others, staff employed by the Ministry for Children and Family Development. As I am sure you aware, the Fisher’s have been complaining to various government officials for a number of years commencing back in approximately February, 1998.

I am enclosing a copy of a letter dated September 24, 2001, from Attorney General Geoff Plant wherein the Attorney General indicates that he had quoted my client’s correspondence to you. My clients advise that there has been no response from you.

My clients’ complaints raise serious questions as to the conduct of government employees, principally social workers employed within the Ministry for Children and Family Development. The Fisher’s allegations include criminal conduct, highly unprofessional conduct, and allegations of violations of their rights and the rights of their son, Joseph.

The Fishers wish an acknowledgment that their complaints are being considered by you with a view to resolving those complaints. The Fishers also seek an apology from the Minister for Children and Family Development for the injustices they have suffered.

I kindly ask that you respond to me with a letter indicating the status of these matters with your office.

Dear Mr. Hagen:

Every day 655 officials receive our requests for help by e-mail, and mostly ignore them. Now you are the sixth minister responsible for our case, thus we send you an updated request for help your predecessor has ignored since 29/4/04 when her constituency assistants faxed it to her. We are sure that you will quickly do what is necessary, according to laws and rules and in the best interest of children.
